1 week post op

1 week post op

Today I'm 1 week post op and feeling pretty good. Still extremely swollen. Had a severe case of cabin fever. Haven't felt like going out. Today is the first day I've left the house. Felt good to get out.

Thought I'd document my journey so far...
Day 1 - surgery was at 7am , so I had to be at the surgery center at 5:45. When I arrived, I was escorted to my room, changed into the hospital gown and waited with my best friend for the doc to arrive. I was nervous like a [RS bleep] in church. The doc came and marked me up. The anesthesiologist gave me a cocktail to calm my nerves and I was rolled back to the OR. I remember them telling me to slid on the table, placing the oxygen over my face and looking at the clock showing 7:05. I woke up asking where am I and went back to sleep. I woke up back in my recovery room shivering bad. Nurse gave me medicine for the shivering. Helped me put my clothes and shoes on, and wheeled me to the front door.
the ride home was ok. I slept off and on the remainder of the day. The pain was ok.

Day 2 - the pain was severe. It was a 9 on a scale of 1 - 10. I stayed on top of the meds. Slept off and on all day.

Day 3- the pain was an 8. Same as day 2, slept off and on all day.

Day 4 - the pain was a 5. Took the pain pill at 7:30 a and was ok the rest of the day. I pretty much sat in my recliner all day watching tv.

Day 5 - little pain, mainly discomfort. I could feel my skin stretching to accommodate the implant. Did not take any pain meds, on,y the muscle relaxer.

Day 6 - was able to shower for the first time. My surgeon does not Allie showering until you first post op appt. day 6 was the best. The shower felt amazing. I the t my mom, sister, and BFF to let them know I just showered. They didn't seem as enthused as I was :)
Had my post op with the nurse. She removed all the foam tape. I saw the boobs for the 1st time. Loved them!!!! Gave me my post op bra. Will see the dr in one week. Went home and iced the girls.

Day 7 - left the house today at 10 and returned at 4:30. When I returned home, the girls were extremely sore. Sitting here icing them as I type this.

I can't wit for them to drop and fluff! Will post pics once I figure out how to.

I've been thinking about a boob job off and on for...

I've been thinking about a boob job off and on for the past 10yrs. My BFF said "just do it". Little background, every woman in my family have large breast except me. My younger sister developed before me. I dont have any kids and don't plan on having any. I don't want massive boobs, just want them to look nice in a low cut top.
I had 3 consults and decided on Dr Connors. I felt comfortable with him and his staff. He really listened to me and not rush me.
I'm set for April 24 and can't wait!!! The funny thing, my sister is talking about a reduction.
