Today is the 6th day after the procedure (Monday)...

Today is the 6th day after the procedure (Monday) and I feel great. At this point, I have little purple dots on my head still but hopefully they will all be gone in the next couple of days. Dr Anderson and his team were amazing. I was really dreading sitting still in a chair from 8am -5pm but there were so many different steps, the time just flew by. Most of the day was spent talking and laughing with Dr Anderson and his team.

Procedure Day - (Tuesday) - The procudure is virtually pain free. There were a couple tiny needles to start the numbing process but the rest of the day, (and after) I didn't have any pain. The morning started with Dr A removing and suturing the donor area. He gave this to his technicians where they began to separate the follicles. Dr A then created the graft locations on my head. Again, I didn't feel anything that was going on. We broke for lunch and after the technicians and Dr A placed all the grafts in the afternoon. My wife picked me up about 4:30pm and we were out by 5pm. I was surprised at how easily and smoothly everything went. I was worried about sleeping elevated and being comfortable. The first night I woke up a few times but I still got decent sleep.

Day after - today - (Wednesday - Monday)
If I had to pick the worst part of the whole procedure it is having to wear the shower cap but it's really not that bad considering the what you are getting. There is no pain, it just gets is a little hot and sweaty sometimes. Every two hours you have to mist the top of your head to keep it moist under the cap. You can take it off at night. I had a small areas of spotty blood on Wednesday and a little on Thursday but then it was gone. Friday was a bit easier because I could tell everything was healing. Saturday was an awesome day because it was the last day I had to wear the cap and Sat night I could sleep laying down again. Sunday was a breeze. Today is Monday and I feel really good. Just ready for the little purple dots to fall off so everything can go back to normal.

I would recommend having lots to read, movies ready to watch, or some work to catch up on, etc. Sitting at home for 5-6 days gets a little boring.

All in all, it was very much worth it and I highly recommend Dr Anderson. Leading up to the procedure I was definitely nervous. I was permanently altering the way I looked and my biggest fear was that it wasn't going to look natural. I am glad I choose Dr Anderson and his experience. Can't wait to see the final product!
