I didn't do enough research on this. It's been...

I didn't do enough research on this. It's been around for a while, and I like being an early adopter (I did laser hair removal in 2000), and its spring and I have a belly that needs to be removed....NOW!

After seeing a clip on Dr Oz, and having lunch with a friend, we started talking about cool sculpting. The next day I found a place and they had a consultation time available that same night. I needed 6 treatments. The 2 cool max (large area) counted as 4 treatments for the lower abdomen, and 2 small treatments in my upper abdomen.

After gasping at the cost, I said F it, let's do it. 2 days later, I went in for the procedure. It's was a torture chaimber for 4 hours. The pain did not lessen after 10 minutes as described. It was torturous the entire time. When the nurse came in to massage the area after an hour, it was even worse when she lifted the evil suction machine off my stomach and massaged out the hardened stick of butter that was my fat. I grunted the entire time. Holy cow was it intense. But I didn't want to say how painful it was in case I am just a wus. But seriously, I can manage pain, but wow wow wow.
When they first apply the machine they should tell you to hold your breath and get ready for some major suction. Wow. Incredible and intense. Not fun.

So for the next 3 days, I was numb but I could manage. Day 4, I was crying out in random spurts at work. Pain was starting. Day 5&6- I called in sick, but said I would use vacation time since this was an elected procedure. Afternoon of day 6, my friends convinced me to return to the place that did it. They were surprised I had pain. Said no one complains. The nurse there at the location was sympathetic, but there is not much they can do. I asked for the nerve blocker. It took 1.5 hours for them to contact a doctor (no doctor in the place) to perscribe Neurontin - a nerve blocker that should be available over the counter. I also have ice packs on my belly whenever I am home. My belly also is really swollen and red _it's on fire. I Scream out in my car - alone driving because of the f-in pain. I paid for this pain FYI. I paid....
Day 7 - went for a 20min car ride. I had to pull over and get out of the car and just breathe. Every bump in the road caused unbelievable pain, and I had tears streaming down my face. The pain was increadible...... I spent that weekend in a mo-mo so that no fabric touched me - not a sexy look. I didn't want anything touching my tummy. I sprayed liodacane on it every hour. My friend brought me her c-section codeine pills - but that didn't even work. My boyfriend wanted to hug me but I screamed every time he got close for a hug. Even sheets on top of me hurt so I had my legs covered then another blanket for my upper half to leave my tummy exposed. It's so strange.
Monday - today......I went to my own doctor. He prescribed a higher dose of codeine and lidocaine patches............not much relief. I am now self medicating with mass quantity of wine. Helps much more than anything else.

I'll be updating more - it hurts. I've done lipo before and there is no comparison. I'll go back to lips in a second since they put you to sleep and automatically prescribe pain meds.

There is no onsite doctor. Everyone in the office are very friendly and nice. I will go back there for other procedures, but probably not cool sculpting based on my pain tolerance.
