WORTH IT$35
I've been using Retin-A Micro .1% for 16 weeks now. At first I broke out some and I was dry and peeling. I used Vanicream moisturizer and because I used it religiously I was never terribly red or irritated looking. I used only warm water to wash my face at first because everything seemed too drying. Retin A is an amazing product. I will use it for the rest of my life. My skin is soft, smooth, nearly wrinkle free!! I did a lot of sun bathing in southern Calif. growing up, and there's no doubt it will have an effect later on in life.
Recently I came upon an article about Tepezcohuite moisturizing cream and bar soap. I thought because I heard and read so much about it and never saw a bad review, I would go ahead and try it. THANK GOD I TRIED IT!! For anyone out there with acne or using Retin A Micro, these are MUST HAVE PRODUCTS!!!
I wash my face every night with the Tepezcohuite bar soap (not drying or irritating at all). You can wash your entire body with it if you have any acne on chest or back. It leaves the skin feeling clean, fresh and calm. I follow with my Retin A Micro. I leave the Retin A on for about 10 minutes and then apply the Tepezcohuite Moisturizing Cream. The cream is calming, soothing, healing, reduces redness, irritation, will not cause breakouts, and is used in Mexico on burn victims and after chemical peels to heal the skin. In the morning your skin will show improvement. I can't say enough about these products, especially if you are a Retin A user. This is a life saver.
My 14 year old daughter is struggling with a bit of acne and is now using the Retin A Micro .08%. She uses the Tepezcohuite Moisturizing cream at night after applying her Retin A and she is looking fabulous in just days!!! Her skin is purging and breaking out a little more, but this is part of the process with Retin A. Don't give up if you are using Retin A....it takes time...weeks....to see the positive results, but it will happen. Do try the Tepezcohuite moisturizing cream and bar soap if you are using Retin A and/or are suffering from acne....you will be glad you did. It is truly a miracle product!!!!
In the photos I have only a little blush and sunscreen on my skin. No foundation makeup. The texture is smooth. I'm happy with the results of the Retin A. I don't have any before photos....I wish I would have taken some. Before Retin A my skin was uneven in tone and rough and I had breakouts. I use it every night and I avoid the sun completely. I also use it on my neck and chest as well as the Tepez products...EVERY NIGHT WITH NO IRRITATION!!

Hello, can you please tell me which Tepezcohuite cream you use?
I tried looking it up but there are so many or if you please upload a picture of the jar! That would be great!
Thank you

I posted pics of the Tepez products that I use. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with. These products are life savers.

Thank you so much for your post. I am using Retin A and can only use it twice a week because it makes me very dry. Have never heard of the soap or cream you use and am so glad you posted about it, I will try it and hopefully be able to use my Retin A everyday! Like you, I grew up in Southern Cal and had plenty of sun exposure as a kid. I live under tons of SPF now and for the past 25 years (I'm 46), but the burns and exposure as a child have taken their toll!

Great idea....I totally understand. I do some running myself and have been concerned about the exposure. I recently found an amazing physical sunscreen on the ASDM Beverly Hills website where I order my Tepez Moisturizer. It is SPF 35+ and chemical free so it will not be absorbed by your skin or clog your pores. I use it every day and it is awesome...does not break me out which is a miracle. It's a little bit tinted...kind of a light pink, but it sits on my skin well and evenly. It kinda just blends in with your own skin tone. I highly recommend it if you don't already have a facial sunscreen that you love.

The moisturizer comes from ASDM Beverly Hills. You can go to their website and order easily. I believe the 4 ounce jar is $32.00 which is a great deal. It last quite a while. I use it every morning on my face, neck and chest, and I NEVER BREAK OUT!!! In fact, it actually heals and calms any pimple that you might have coming. Amazing stuff. It truly promotes healing.
The Tepez soap I get on Amazon from a seller named Herbs of Mexico. They are great as well. I believe it is $3.99 a bar. Great stuff. Does not dry you out while using the Retin A but leaves you feeling clean and comfortable. Between the soap and moisturizer I have no itching, burning, redness....same for my daughter. She uses the cream every night over her Retin A and it's working beautifully. I wish I would have known about these products 20 years ago!!! Let me know if you try and how they work!!

Just started using prescription retin-a cream a few days ago. I had tried retinol-a (over-the-counter) and my face looked better but only after experiencing horrible redness, itching, dry and peeling skin. My skin was a mess before it looked better. Anyway I really wanted to find something to moisturize with, I tend to stick to natural items like oils, but they failed me when using the retinol-a. So I just ordered what you suggested, so I will be blaming you if it doesn't work. Just kidding I did a lot of research on Tepezcohuite before ordering, although it was your post that lead me in the right direction, had never heard of it. Thanks for the tip.

I'm excited for you. ...please keep me posted! !! I think you are going to be happy. I have really sensitive
skin, so for this to work for me, in
addition to the harsh retin a micro,
it is really a miracle. I also love
that it's natural. Good luck☺

Thanks for responding, btw your skin in lovely. I received my cream yesterday, still waiting on my soap though. I already had some dry patches forming around my mouth and it really seemed to help those out tremendously over night. They aren't healed but much better. Just one question, after applying tepez does it sting you and turn your face red? If you have ever used indian healing clay, after removing it, your face turns red, tepez seems to be doing the same. It lasts about an hour. I figure it's because of the retin-a.

Thank you:) My daughter has the same reaction, but it does settle down and go away in about 20 minutes to half hour. She tends to have extra dryness around the mouth and nose from the Retin A....I think she needs to try to keep the Retin A a little further from the corners of her mouth and nose. Keep doing what you are doing. If you get too much drying from the Retin A, maybe skip a night. I get a little sting and burn when I apply the Tepez cream sometimes in areas that are peeling from the Retin A. I think that is normal. Usually in the morning it is soothed and calm...redness gone.

Again thanks for responding! The corners of my mouth are a mess, (but healing) I think the retin-a migrates as I try to avoid going too close to my lips. I am actually surprised that my face isn't as dry as I anticipated, must be the tepez cream. I am having less redness already. I had another question though, after applying tepez it leaves little brownish/blackish spots on my face, like little particles. I assumed it was the bark in the cream, does your tepez do that too? I ordered from amazon and sometimes I worry about getting fake products, but it works so nicely that I feel that isn't the case. I had skipped a day using retin-a the other night because I knew I had to spend sometime in the sun the following day, I am in Cali and it ended up being a humid, rainy and windy day. As a result I was super itchy, but applied tepez upon returning home and it instantly soothed the itching. Thanks again for responding and helping me out.

Yes....I have the same little particles of the bark in the cream. I do apply a sunscreen on top of the moisturizer and the sunscreen has a light pink tint to it, which I think covers or masks any little particles that otherwise might be visible!! I think you have a good product....no worries. Glad you are feeling good using the Tepez moisturizer. I love it!! The corners of my daughters mouth are soooooo dry and irritated. I think the Retin A does migrate because she is careful not to put it too close to the corners of the mouth or nose. It's potent stuff!! Keep us posted on your progress!!!

Welcome to the community, I am so happy you decided to share your personal experience with us! Your skin looks great. I find your review really helpful as I have two tubes of Retin-A that I am contemplating using, thinking of starting this fall. I LOVE Tepezcohuite, great tip! I use the pomade and the soap everyday - the soap makes your skin feel so clean and I love that it's exfoliating. Glad your daughter is having good results as well.
sooth and heal the skin as you go. I will proably always use both the
retin a and Tepez products. Love them both! !
Thanks for your reply - once the fall hits and I am out in the sun less, I may start. I am just concerned about sun exposure, because I go outdoors alot, long walks, runs, and I tend to forget about applying sunblock.
