Basically I wanted a revision of my C-Section scar...

Basically I wanted a revision of my C-Section scar and a couple inches of skin removed. I think I would have been happy with that as I wasn't seeking a "bikini" body, just a better one. I was fairly fit for my age and enjoyed working out each day including a couple hundred crunches so my tummy was pretty flat and hard, but I had excess skin on the lower abdomen from a pregnancy in my early forties. I went for a consult and the doctor was prepared to do just what I wanted. Unfortunately after the consult I got "pushed" by the office manager into another consult with another doctor, which I had no idea why I was being rerouted. This other doctor was a little too good to be true. Rather than get a couple inches of skin he wanted to remove all the excess skin, basically a full tummy tuck but leaving belly button in place, and no need to repair muscles. He said there would be "no" pain and I would be working out in one month. Under pressure from surgeon, office manager, and now also husband, I scheduled the surgery. I am now 9 or 10 weeks postop, &still cannot exercise, and have been in almost constant pain and discomfort, spent the first five weeks sitting in a chair,(& this doctor would not allow any pain management after day 3). I have been 12 lbs heavier since surgery & cannot wear my old clothes (size 6 and 8), had to buy bigger sizes. On top of that I had a tear in my esophagus and partially collapsed lungs. They didn't tell me after surgery, although I complained of back pain and trouble breathing. I had to find out from an ER a couple days later. Upon complaining of abdominal pain a week or two later I was ridiculed for not standing up straight and pushed flat against the wall by the doctor to "straighten" me. My husband then took me to an ER where they did an ultrasound and found a hematoma extending from my rib cage to the pubic area, which was causing the pain. My cosmetic result is not very good. My belly actually looks bigger so far than before, but I do have a lot of swelling. I also had breast implants which were suppose to be dual plane, but woke from surgery with under the muscle implants, one of which turned out ok, the other did not (snoopy deformity), looks horrible. Overall experience was like a bad dream. Overall result appears poor so far. Hoping for some improvement over time. Sought consult from another surgeon who said the breast implant would not drop due to improper pocket, so I'm looking at more surgery once I am well enough. It has been 10 weeks of misery and despair, and I fear our summer travel plans may be lost as well. Definitely "NOT" worth it. A very expensive mistake.
