My vision at computer screen distance is very unclear (blurry and double vision) 18 days after my PRK surgery. Started about 8-9 days after the surgery and has been unchanged since then. My distance vision is seems to be ok. I work at a computer all day and have not been able to return to work because of this. Called my doctors office but they told me to wait it out until my next follow up appointment. My prescription before PRK was -3.00 in both eyes and I am 27 years old. Is this normal?
I had PRK done n July 28th .. so its been a little over 2 weeks. I was seeing ok not great. I woke up on Saturday and my vision has gotten so much worse! worse than before I had the surgery. I can barley read what's on the computer screen at work everything is blurry and doubling.. is this normal?
I had PRK surgery on both eyes 3 weeks ago. My left eye is 20/20 but the right eye still has some astigmatism correction left. I believe my astigmatism was 3.0 before surgery- the doctor said it was high in both eyes. He said at this point it is possible that the epithileum still needs to smooth out which is causing the astigmatism, or that the surgery did not get all the astigmatism. He gave me a bandage lens to wear for a month to see if that helps. Do you think I will need an enhancement?
I'm 2 1/2 weeks post PRK and have experienced a very difficult and painful healing process. Days 1-3 were fine, days 4-now have been horrible. I have had my right eye scraped twice since my surgery due to hazing. He said that the cells are clumping abnormally and he doesn't like it. Because of my extreme dry eyes I have plugs in all my tear ducts and could not have the bandages in longer then 2 days before extreme pain kicked in. Is this normal? Is my right eye ever going to heal right?
Hi, Soon after I had my PRK surgery 3 weeks ago, I noticed floaters in both eyes. Before my PRK surgery, I would occasionally notice floaters, but the difference now is that I notice them all the time. I read that PRK can not cause floaters since the surgery does not affect the vitreous humor, but that it is possible that PRK could cause one to notice their pre-existing floaters more. Why is this? Have you doctors had any experience with this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
