A silicone gel or cream or other topical? Silicone scar strips? I am 3 weeks post op and want to minimize redness and encourage scar to heal flat and smooth. Please suggest specific brands as there are so many options. Thank you!
I had a NL 3 weeks ago, I know it is still early on in recovery. My neck has more wrinkles than before in the middle and under the chin near the throat. It is crepey and loose. My neck looks 60 instead of 48. I was hoping that it would be tight and refreshed, but it is not. I am still quite swollen under the chin. Is this wrinkling normal? Will it get better? will I have another surgery? I did not have a FL, no incisions behind the ears, only incision under chin. Platysma bands tightened.
Its only been 22 days Ive had a Platysmaplasty, buccal fat removal and lipo of neck and jowls. I have a ridge under chin (see pic) I was wondering if I need to be more patient and wait for this to go away or if I will need a revision? I have been wearing my compression garment 24/7 the last 22 days..
Nearly 3 wks post neck lift: lipo under and over the plastysma muscle and a platysma-plasty by a board certified plastic surgeon out of state. After surgery, neck looked fantastic. The drains were removed and the swelling got bad and never recovered. His nurse suggested using an ace bandage wrap. This morning I woke up and my chin looks like it was before the surgery, if not worse. Tissue is softer. Swelling is progressively getting worse. Will my chin slim up again? What's wrong? I had a neck lift 3 weeks ago and under my chin is more wrinkled then before and I have hard lumps that I can see and feel. I had lipo and the muscle repaired, It's not right I can tell and every time I look in the mirror I hate what I see I work in a salon. I just want it fixed, how long of a wait?
I wore my compression garment 24/7 for the first 4 days. Then I only took it off to shower days 5&6. After that I cold not sleep in it. I wore it most of the day or the next week while I office at home. Now I am only able to wear it a few hours during the day. Im nervous...I still see a lot of puffiness under my chin. I am massaging it.
The week after surgery, everything looked great. My skin was smooth, no lumps or unevenness, no fat. Starting on day 14, I started noticing what looks like fat on both sides under my chin and further down my neck. It looks funny from underneath because there isn't that puffiness directly under my chin, just on the sides. So it looks uneven. Is this swelling or permanent? I wore my chin strap for a week straight and then switched to only at night based on surgeons directions? Should I be worried?
I am 2.5 weeks post-op on a platysmaplasty with submental lipectomy. The first 1.5 weeks everything looked great! At that point, very thick, unsightly scar tissue began to form on my neck right under my chin. It has gotten worse this past week, with puckering and raised indented areas. I have been told this kind of tissue can go away completely on its own. Can it? And what timeline am I looking at, in general? A month? Two years? I feel deformed and severely depressed because of these results.
I had a feacelift and neck lift almost 3 weeks ago. I feel very tight and choked when I put my head down. My mouth dies not open all the way and I can not move my jaw side to side very easily. I had this done out of state and the doctor is not following me .Is a revision available if this does not get better? And when can I expect to feel comfortable? I am 56 and am athletic. I am wondering when I can get back to normal activity.
