In August of 2018 I had Cool Sculpting, which caused Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia. In March of 2019 I was provided liposuction as a remedy. This seems to have caused Diastasis Recti. I then had umbilical hernia surgery in November 2021, which seemed to have worsened the Diastasis Recti. It has taken a toll on my self confidence. I have a barrel shape and the fat is intra-abdominal with very little loose skin. Do I have any options? I work out and eat pretty well but can't seem to lose weight.
On Saturday sept 15th 2018 I am scheduled to have plication of diastasis recti via endoscopy while also repairing a small umbilical hernia. My worry is will I get loose skin once the muscles have plicated? I noticed when I am on hands and knees position on all fours that my skin near my belly button scrunches. I exercise every day HIIT training. If I do have endoscopic repair could I then have a mini tummy tuck for any remaining loose skin?
Most of my separation is at or above the navel and causing me a lot of pain and discomfort. I do not care if I have loose skin so is skin removal necessary? I just want to be pain free and regain strength in my core without having to be cut hip to hip.
I have Diastasis Recti and loose skin. Due to the high cost of tummy tucks, I wanted to go for therapy to get my DR fixed. If my muscles do get fixed, would I still need the TT for the loose skin or what if I consider a mini TT?
I have a little loose skin, an umbilical hernia, and separated abdominals. I work out regularly and have greatly improved my shape, but I still get asked if I'm pregnant when I'm full or bloated. I'm not concerned with how my skin looks in a bikini, but how my stomach is shaped when I'm dressed. I have a consult in two months and I think if the PS says I need skin removed I'll chicken out.
