I had braces as a teenager but I had one incisor that never grew in so my center alignment is a bit off. I have done research looking for solutions but I would like to know if there is any way I can get a good smile without surgery. I am missing an incisor but all of my teeth are pretty tight together. There is no gap for an implant so I suppose what Im asking is there a way to get a smile with all of the teeth with my current situation? I would like a perfect smile with a nice alignment.
I had a placement of a crown put in my mouth and I feel like my tooth is not placed in the right angle cause my none of my teeth touch except the crown and my bottom tooth hits the crown when I close my mouth/chew. Is my teeth not lined up correctly?I cant chew because of the teeth hitting. Since the crown is cemented is this fixable?
I can't close the mouth as usual. Only the crowned tooth will hit the bottom jaw. None other will. Can't chew or grind from the opposite side as the jaws font align. This is giving me a jaw pain and a headache. Still the dentist says bite ok and I need to get used to the new tooth and then it will be ok. How is the bite ok if I can't even bite from the opposite side now. Thanks
I went in for tooth pain. Dentist removed decay from broken tooth. He told me I needed a crown. After weeks of no pain I expressed I didn't want the crown. He said it was already made and necessary. I reluctantly agreed. A few weeks after getting crown, the tooth started hurting again. I went in and all he did was file down tooth to help alignment. Still in alot of pain from crown on my nerve.
I just got a crown placed on tooth 26. I had my braces removed in November, and have since been wearing a retainer full time. The dental office cut the last four teeth on that sided my retainer because with the crown it no longer fits. They cannot make me a new one until ten days from now. Do you think that is going to affect the alignment of my teeth since I just had braces removed not too long ago?
My bite seems kind of off...my dentist said my teeth was aligned and even once she set the crown in but for some odd reason when I eat it feels like that tooth is hitting against the bottom of my teeth on the left side ....I'm so aggravated because I can't chew the way I want to
I don't like my temporary crowns and I am unable to eat. Can't chew up my food properly in order to swallow. I have discomfort and pressure in certain areas. My jaw alignment shifted a lot prior to work from missing teeth. How do I make sure the dentist gets my bite right so that i may eat and get my smile close to my original nice smile? I look like Mr. Ed.
I've been told I need an MRI scan to confirm whether my jaw joint cartilage is out of place. I believe it is and I believe this has been caused from my malocclusion (see pic). If I were to have my teeth realigned by crowning the bottom tooth, could my cartilage go back into place itself in time? Im researching what would be the best thing to do as I cant afford the MRI scan right now nevermind surgery to correct the cartilage. However, I need to correct my bite as I cant close my teeth together!
