I was wondering if hydroxyapatite injected into the lip cheek/malar region can lead to hypersensitivity over time? How about with Artefill present from 9 years ago? I am currently suffering from irritation (itchiness) and redness in this particular area.
I had artifill Injected under my eyes in 2013. The area under my eyes is red, swollen and I have bumps that wont go away. My eye doctor does not know how to fix this, is there anything that can be done to make the bumps and puffiness go away? Thank You for any advice you can give.
Since I received PMMA in Mexico Placement was thoughtless and extensive. Since It is irritating and itchy forgetting how bad it looks it impossible. If respondents are interested I will mail photos. My skin is exceptionally thin. Lumps are now in forehead lips and cheeks. Is there hope?
2 years ago, Artefil was injected under my eyes. For the past 12 months, I've had edema, raised itchy welts around my eyes with a rash on chest. Can this be Artefil related? The reaction does not seem to be related to any food or environmental cause. Today's flare up is MUCH worse than these photos -- swollen like a prize fighter.
I have Artefill injected on nasolabial fold multiple times over the years. My nasolabial fold area is very fleshy and fatty and the Artefill makes it worse. The area feels hard like cement. My questions: 1. Can surgical excision be done using intraoral incision? Artefill is localized on my smile line about 1 inch long. 2. Can I have nasolabial fold subcision to release the skin with Artefill in the subcision area? 3. Can I remove Artefill during bullhorn liplift using the liplift incision?
HiI have developed a granuloma under each eye in the tear trough area from a product called "Precise," which is a PMMA product I received in Mexico 2 years ago. This product is essentially the same as Artefill/Artecoll.I have been to see several doctors and have done extensive research on the internet. It appears I have two real options, the first is to have the product removed doing micro-lipo suction with a fine needle to scrape out the particles, which should not cause scarring, and the other is to have it surgically removed. I tried steroid injections but the change was minimal and short lived. Here are my questions:Is it possible to remove PMMA with micro-lipo if the product is encapsulated or embedded?Would surgically removing from the tear trough area cause serious scarring or can it be handled in a way to leave scars that are manageable?I welcome and appreciate any answers or insight !!Thanks.
