I just done with my rhinoplasty 3 days ago but it looks nothing different. I mean I wanted a bit tall but doctor did only brigde. I don't know what to do when can I do rhinoplasty again?
Answer: When can revision rhinoplasty be performed? 3 days is still very soon after rhinoplasty, and you will be experiencing swelling that will influence the appearance of your result. I would recommend giving the nose some time to heal. It is important to consider the following things:1) You are experiencing swelling that is influencing the appearance of the outcome2) The nose will continue to change for up to one yearI would recommend communicating any concerns to your surgeon, as he/she knows the details of your procedure. I hope this helps, and best of luck.

Answer: When can I have a revision? You will have a significant amount of swelling right after your procedure, and the nose will continue to change as you heal. The final result may not be evident for 18-24 months after surgery. It is best to wait around 1 year before performing a revision. I would recommend following up with your surgeon regarding any immediate post-op concerns. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck.

Answer: Timing of rhinoplasty revision It can take 6-12 months for the healing to occur after rhinoplasty. Until all of the healing has occurred, you will not see the final results of your surgery. If a revision was to be done, I generally would recommend waiting at least a year.

Answer: Focus on recovering from this rhinoplasty At 3 days following rhinoplasty, you are extremely early in your recovery. It is way too soon to draw any conclusions. At this point, it is important for you to focus on recovering from surgery. It will be several more weeks before you can really appreciate any of the changes from your surgery. At 3 days, your nose is typically too swollen to tell what the final result will be like. Recovery after rhinoplasty will vary based on the person, characteristics of the nasal tissues and what was done during surgery. It can take somewhere in and around 12-18 months to see the final results. The areas with thicker skin in the nose such as the tip, alar rims and radix will require longer to settle. Also there appears to be a linear decrease in swelling for the first several months followed by a period where the swelling fluctuates (sometimes little or no swelling and other times more swelling) before the nose settles. At this early point after surgery, you need to focus on recovery from this rhinoplasty surgery.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Rhinoplasty is a complex surgical procedure with science and artistic touch.Communications with the doctor about your expectations , what you want and do not want before surgery is very important, the surgeon can then tell you what is realistic to achieve and what is not based on the character of the bone, cartilage and skin. It is not enough to have a model picture, you need to know what you want to achieve and is that achievable?Experience of the surgeon in all aspects of rhinoplasty techniques is very important and an artistic and scientific knowledge of the surgeon. Most important to avoid revision rhinoplasty is realistic expectations, choice of the right plastic surgeon and thorough communication prior to surgery.Samir Shureih MD.
