Rejuvenating skin

There is really no way to answer this question for everyone. A skin rejuvenation program should be designed for the individual patient with several considerations in mind: Degree of desired result Amount of accepted downtime Financial budget In addition, there are really two phases of skin rejuvenation: The initial step (rejuvenation), where healthy skin is restored. A maintanence phase, where this healthy appearance is maintained.

Combinations are the key to skin rejuvenation

The best results for skin rejuvenation are achieved when all causes of aging are addressed. You simply cannot talk about rejuvenation if you are tanning and smoking. Proper diet is essential. Sun damage must be corrected with topical retinoids and laser. I have found Pearl and Fraxel to be the best. Dynamic wrinkles should be addressed with Botox, and the sooner you start, the better. The benefits of Botox become cumulative and once the skin is too loose, Botox does not give as great of a... more

The best skin rejuvenation treatment....

The best treatment for skin rejuvenation varies depending upon an individual's skin type, age, ethnicity, sun exposure, and overall health.  I am a major proponent of a healthy lifestyle:  diet high in fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes and fish, 8-10 hours of sleep, limiting alcohol intake other than the occasional glass of red wine, and regular excersize.  Next step for all skin types is sun protection including daily sunscreen, sun hats and sunglasses....and avoiding sunb more

Rejuvenating your skin

There is actually not just one answer to this question, one laser isn’t the best fit for everyone. We customize treatments to the specific patient and their concerns. A CO2 affirm laser is always a nice start because this will help tone, smooth texture and tighten. There are a series of treatments that you could do, or one very aggressive treatment. Make sure you protect your investment with the proper skin care products and sunscreen!

The best way to transform dull skin is to undergo a fairly aggressive skin resurfacing procedure, such as a chemical peel, photo rejuvenation, or a high-percent glycolic acid peel.

Skin rejuvenation

First, you need to start off by seeing a qualified aesthetician who works for a plastic surgeon. They can recommend skin care such as Obagi or Skin Medica and also get the process started with peels and dermaplaning. The next level would be non-oblative lasers and the final level would be doctor performed peels or a CO2 laser treatment.

Treatment of Sun Damaged Skin

Mature skin is frequently skin that has not received adequate sun protection. Sun exposure leads to wrinkles, deep lines, blotchy pigmentation and skin cancers. Some good options... 1.Use a broad spectrum sunscreen and sun-protective measures every day. The SPF should be greater than 15 (better if greater than 30), and broad-spectrum means screens out UVA and UVB. Consider micronized zinc oxide or titanium dioxide products such as MDSolarSolutions. Waterproof or water resistant is better... more

Peel program

If your skin has been neglected for years you are going to want a program of peels. These can be laser or chemical or both, but if you choose lighter peels you will simply want more of them to get noticeable improvement. You need a good evaluation by an experienced surgeon who will look at your damage, you skin type and your desires and come up with a plan. Best Regards.

Skin rejuvenation pearls

Daily sun protection and application topical retinoid should be part of any sound skin rejuvenation strategy. In person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon is important to sort out priorities and options such as - Botox or Dysport fo dynamic wrinkles on forehead, crowsfeet - Fillers for deep lines and/or cheek augmentation - Laser resurfacing for skin tightening, smoothing of skin texture, and reversal of sun damage

Medical Skin Care

I do not think there is one skin care program for everyone, however there is common ground. Almost everyone benefits from a mix of Hydroquinone and Retin A. I use a compounding pharmacy to mix it based on skin type and concerns. I often add a steroid cream in the mixture to prevent peeling and irritation. Retin A & Hydroquinone are excellent at treating sun damage. I use them both every night and really enjoy having them compounded because they are in one tube.

Skin rejuvenation

Treatment for skin rejuvenation usually involves many different approaches. The minimum approach would be using a topical cream such as Retin A. From there the degree of rejuvenation may incorporate more intensive home topical treatments such as Obagi, Nia, or Vivite. In the office, TCA peels and certain lasers may be appropriate based upon your skin type.

Skin Rejuvenation

There are many aesthetic treatments, beginning with topical creams which claim to rejuvenate skin. However, in circumstances of "mature" skin, just be aware that the severity of the problem has to be matched up with the appropriate treatment. Generally, the more profound the skin damage is, the greater rower the treatment will need to have. Luckily, newer technology has allowed for use of a very powerful treatment (CO2 laser) in the form of a selective, tunable technique... more

Choosing the right skin rejuvenation treatments

The subject of "Skin Rejuvenation Treatments" is so broad that one answer can not adequately encapsulate it. The response to "What's the best skin rejuvenation treatment?" will have to wait until the end of my piece. Simply put, a skin rejuvenation treatment is any measure undertaken to restore the skin to its original, youthful appearance. Usually this means eliminating wrinkles, folds, hollows, laxity, rough spots and growths, "broken" blood vessels,... more

Best skin rejuvenation treatment

Rather than say what's "best" for you, let's look at several options: CO2 Resurfacing for wrinkles Erbium Resurfacing for Wrinkles Fractional Resurfacing Phenol Peels for wrinkles Q-switched lasers for sun damage Most of these procedures have some recovery time associated with them. While there are less aggressive treatments, if you've had "years" of ignoring your skin, you may need to use one of these to address your situation. Good luck.

Best treatment for skin rejuvenation

I get this question a lot, and as everyone else has said, there is no one answer to this question. It is different for every patient, depending on many factors. When patients ask this question, I ask them a few questions back to find the best treatment or course of action for that individual. 1. What are the biggest concerns you have about the appearance of your skin? 2. How quickly do you want to correct these? 3. Is there a budget factor? 4. Is down time a concern of yours? Once these... more

Lasers for skin rejuvenation!

Cutera's Pearl and/or Pearl Fractional are the gold-standard in rejuvenating skin. Much improvement can be seen even after 1 treatment in wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, pore size, and new collagen growth. These both have a downtime period of 1 to 2 weeks, depending on how aggressive you wish to be. The final result is seen 3 months out from the procedure. Also, a good medical-grade skin care protocol and sunscreen will maintain as well as enhance your results after the laser. Prepping your... more

I do not use either microdermabrasion or chemical peels. Plasma Skin Regeneration technology is infinitely more controllable, and can effect improvements in skin laxity, skin texture (including open pores), fine wrinkling, and skin pigmentation in a single treatment. Improvement after a single treatment with the new Portrait device (already FDA approved in the US) can continue over the course of a full year.
