2 days ago i got 1ml of Jurvederm in my cheeks and then 1ml in my Nasolabiol Fold and the rest in my lips. My cheeks are still really sore and my face still looks vert tight and puffy, it has gone down in my lips. When will this pain subside? I am worried that the puffy/tight look on my face is the final result?
Answer: Headache and throbbing after Juvederm to cheeks and nasolabial fold Hopefully, it is temporary and will subside. You SHOULD see your injector asap just to make certain you do not have some ischemia occurring due to inadvertent product in a vessel or swelling enough to cause vascular occlusion. If that is a possibility (which I hope it is not), your injector should be able to dissolve some of it and restore blood supply with injections of hyaluronidase. Good luck to you!

Answer: Pain and swelling is completely normal after any medical procedure that consists of puncturing skin Pain and swelling is completely normal after any medical procedure that consists of puncturing skin and creating an inflammatory response. It can take up to three weeks for bruising and swelling to subside. This depends on factors such as your overall health and physiology. For example, if you're a smoker it will take longer for the healing process to take place.

Answer: Swelling and soreness Swelling and soreness is not uncommon after injections. This can take up to two weeks to resolve. However, it is best to contact your injector for an evaluation just to ensure that what you are experiencing is a part of normal healing and nothing problematic.

Answer: Filler reactions - Juvederm and HA fillers. OK, there seems to be conflicting answers here. I don't know how others were taught to inject, nor how they teach other doctors to inject, however consensus is that the cheek should not be tight and puffy nor sore at day 2. The face should not be uniformly look very tight! We are given the privilege to answers patients questions online and in real time. As specialist we should answer one fundamental question- If this patient was your patient (or mine), would you like to know of this potential complication? Absolutely, we have a responsibility to all our patients. Time and time again, I keep saying I have no problems with any nurses or GPs, dentists or doctors injecting, however they must have the responsibly to manage EVERY SINGLE FILLER COMPLICATION- from acute vascular, to chronic cross antigen reactions, infection, and many others. In this context, if you were my patient, I would like to see you ASAP, I know your injector would do the same. With pain (soreness) and swelling after 2mls to the face one needs to rule out potentially serious conditions like inflammation secondary to infection or a delayed type 4 filler reaction (based upon history, examination and testing) .Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
