I lost my Invisalign. They're ordering another set but it won't come in until December. What should I do?

My recommendation is to contact your treating orthodontist as soon as possible and have a retainer made to hold everything in place.  In the mean time, you could wear your most current tray until your new trays come in.  I've included a web reference for some more information on Invisalign.  Good luck!

Hello there, When they took off your bumps last week, did they also take an impression of your teeth as well?  If they took an impression, they may be ordering you some more trays in the form of what is called a 'Refinement'.  If your treatment is completed, it may also be a final Invisalign retainer called Vivera. It's always best to have an open line of communication with your doctor.  I would suggest to call and find out the plan and ask what you should do in the mean time.  I can tell you that my protocol would be to have you wear your last aligner during nights until your new set arrives.  You need to be wearing something to keep your teeth from moving between the time your impression was taken, until your new aligners arrive.  In your case since you've lost your last aligner, you should ask you doctor what he/she would like you to do.  They may want to have you go back to your second last tray, or may make you what's called an Essix retainer to hold your teeth. Remember, no one will be able to give you as good of an advice as your own treating doctor, since they are the ones who know your case the best.
