Also, I am seventeen (a very young looking seventeen) how much will it change within the upcoming years? I hate my nose, but at the same time I don't know if I would be me without it. I love the look of Sarah Hyland's nose for example, but mine is a wider Greek style nose with a slight bump and downward, slight, droop. It also leans noticeably to the right. Would I be able to realistically get a good result, and how long would it take before I could go out without a bandage/cast or anything?
Answer: Rhinoplasty considerations for young patients You've got a host of questions that can be answered in a in-person consulation. An open rhinoplasty with dorsal hump reduction and tip refinement is a good start to improve the appearance of your nose. A septoplasty or other adjunctive procedures may be required to 'straighten' the nose.

Answer: Weight change and nose shape Hi there RedHead97-It is unlikely that your nose will change shape much with that amount of weight change. Changes in the fat content do occur (likely) with age--meaning as we reach our 40's and 50's. The skin thins, including the fat content. However, fluctuations at a given age in the range you mention are unlikely (in my experience) to do much to the nose.Best,Dr. Most

Answer: How much does the nose change with weight loss Weight loss is not going to affect the look of your nose. Aging of many years might. You should be able to get a good result and meet your goals in good hands. Good photos and in office consultation would be useful. Seek an experienced rhinoplastic surgeon with good results. You should be able to go out without cast or bandages 8-10 days after surgery.

Answer: Rhinoplasty for dorsal hump reduction There is no fat in the nose, so weight gain or loss will not change the nose shape. A rhinoplasty is required to shave down the dorsal hump, narrow the tip and narrow the bridge. Computer imaging would be helpful in the education process so that patients are able to see what their new nose might look like on their facial features. Anticipate 2 weeks of bruising and swelling after the rhinoplasty procedure. The cast stays on across the bridge of the nose for one week. Answer: How much does the nose change in appearance with a weight loss of roughly 5-10 pounds? Aging and weight loss will produce little if any change after 15-16 years of age.Keep in mind, that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do without seeing photos and more importantly without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of the proposed operative procedure with you and your parents may not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or facial plastic surgeon (otolaryngologist) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California
