I had 505 high profile silicone implants, under muscle done 4 weeks 5 days ago. I have two small children so I have been lifting them in small amounts since day 5, once I hit the 4 week mark I went back to normally lifting my children. Since I have had more pain, new bruising and slight swelling on my left side. My left is my dominant side so I do most of my lifting with this arm. The left implant has also been slower to drop, more painful and was the only side to have bruising after surgery.
Answer: 4 weeks 5 days post op, is new bruising and pain normal when getting back to normal activity? I appreciate your question. I would be concerned about a bleed with new bruising. Please contact your surgeon as soon as possible so he/she can examine you and recommend most appropriate treatment plan at this time. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. Best of luck! Answer: Breast augmentation recovery Hi, Thanks for posting your question. I am happy to try and help you. Sorry to learn about your concerns. The best advice that I can give you is that you should speak to your plastic surgeon. Online consultants are not the appropriate source of information for you; your plastic surgeon should be your resource when it comes to postoperative concerns. This is important because every surgeon has different perspectives, the only one that should be important is the one that operated on you ;) Best wishes, Dr. Michael J. Answer: Breast Augmentation - New Bruising Given the fact that this bruising is new and you've amped up your exercise, it sounds as if you might have a bleed. I would advise you to make an appointment with your surgeon to discuss just to be on the safe side.

Answer: New Bruising After Returning to Activity 4 Weeks After Breast Augmentation Hello and thanks for the question and photos. If there is new bruising, that likely represented some new bleeding although it may very well have been brief and has almost certainly stopped. That said, I would advise being reevaluated by your surgeon and scaling back your activity for now. I typically will advise patients to wait 6 weeks before resuming any significant activity. As far as comparing pain and implant position between sides, keep in mind that each side may heal and recover at different rates and that you are still very early in the recovery process. Hope this helps and good luck!

Answer: New bruising = new bleeding If new bruising has occurred I would be concerned about a new small amount of bleeding. Likely it was a small amount and has stopped. I'd recommend seeing your surgeon to make them aware of the new changes. Don't be alarmed by differences in healing side to side, however. Two different rates of healing and implant dropping are quite common. Given enough time the two sides typically even out - this could take up to 4 - 6 months sometimes. Talk to your surgeon and be careful with strenuous activity until the new bleeding has been evaluated. Best wishes.
