I had a BA and stated I wanted a natural look as I’m 40 y/o. I just wanted to fill in lost volume from breastfeeding. At the consult the Dr stated a 300cc HP implant would be his recommendation. I am an out of town patient so emailed some final thoughts/wish pics. I specifically stated 300-400cc range. I started with a deflated 34C with the goal of being a full 34C/small D. I woke up with 445 UHP implants. Is it reasonable for me to ask him to revise to a smaller implant at HIS cost?
Answer: Wrong implants Oh my goodness when will surgeons ever learn? The easiest way to get a patient upset is to put in implants different than what was agreed to ahead of time. What’s your recourse? I don’t know but you can certainly ask the surgeon to put in the implants they were supposed to

CONTACT NOW Answer: Breast Augmentation Ho & thanks for your question. The best thing to do is call your surgeon and discuss this with him. There may be a reason for the larger implant that you are not aware of. Best wishes!

Answer: Revision Breast Augmentation Thank you for your question- certainly one of the most difficult parts of a breast augmentation consult is getting on the same page with your surgeon regarding your goals. I believe that most surgeons try to be very clear with patients that, within a range, we will use our best judgement based on your on-the-table results. That being said, it sounds like you very specific with your goal size range and I think it is very reasonable to have a conversation with your surgeon regarding a revision. Many will try to revise these issues to make a patient happy by either waiving their surgeon's fee or the entire fee. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Answer: Size Since the specific size was not determined prior to surgery, and bras are not made to standardized sizing, there is a wide variety in sizes of what is a "D" cup, which you requested. The actual size was not preselected. I would suggest discussing your concerns with your surgeon. You might ask for a smaller implant and a lower profile. If you do change your implants, choose a specific size during your preop so you know exactly what you are getting.

Answer: Revision for free? Hi and welcome to our forum! It is rather vague to ask for a "natural look" as each individual has a different opinion. Your complaint regarding size: 445 cc - 400 cc 45 cc, the volume of a "shot glass". An appropriate implant size is largely determined by your breast width...too narrow, no cleavage,...too wide, exaggerated cleavage and "lateral boob". The extra 45 cc may have been required to completely fill the breast. Remember, your surgeon's goal was to make you happy with the result. Have you discussed this with your surgeon? Without photos, I cannot venture further. Revision is indeed possible, perhaps at a reduced fee, but not for free as there are considerable expenses incurred on his / her part. Revisit your plastic surgeon for advice. Best wishes...

Answer: Surgeon put in implants bigger than I approved - is it reasonable for me to ask him to revise it? I would discuss the issue face to face with your surgeon. Maybe he had a good reason to use the implant which he used and could explain that to you better. Going smaller is easier than going bigger, so it should not be too much of a problem.
