Before I had my two children, I was a 34 D. I still fit in to my 34 D bra's, but my breasts lack fullness (they're so saggy, have excess skin and are "empty"). So my question would be, if I get a breast lift, and remove excess skin, will my breasts lose volume (be a C or B cup)? Would I have to get implants as well? Or should they still be a 34 D once I get them lifted?
Answer: Ultimate Breast Lift(TM) does not decrease size There is a new technique called The Ultimate Breast LiftTM. This technique reshapes your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness, elevates them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. This technique avoids the ugly vertical scars of the traditional technique, maintains nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed. You will not lose volume and still remain 34 D. If you are happy with that size, I would not recommend implants. Implants are only designed to increase volume, they do not change your shape.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Size After Breast LIft You are describing loss of volume when you say you don't have the fullness you used to have. A lift will reposition the nipple onto a higher location but you will still be hollow on top as you are now. You will need an implant to recover the volume you lost.

Answer: What Size Will I Be After a Breast Lift? A breast lift removes extra skin but preserves most if not all of the breast tissue. If you like your present size, there is no need to add an implant. If you are worried about being big enough afterwards, you may want a small implant or fat transfer as well. I think you should emphasize what your breasts will look like and your physical comfort aftr the procedure rather than a bra size. No surgeon can warranty a bra size for you.

Answer: Would a breast lift be necessary or would implants be sufficient? Judging from your history you have lost a fair amount of volume. The only reason you fit into your 34 D bras is because the sagging of your breasts occupies volume in your bras. I find this as being quite common among my patients. Implants will restore the volume you lost and the lifting will correct the breast sagging. But you need to consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to get the final say. Good luck!

Answer: You will probably need breast implants and a lift to get your old breast size back Thank you for your question. Photographs would be helpful, however in most cases after breast volume has been lost and the breasts sag, a breast lift plus breast augmentation with implants is usually required to restore you to your original shape after pregnancy. Be sure to see a plastic surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, experienced in cosmetic breast surgery, and who has an excellent reputation in your community.
