Chemical Treatment for Perioral Dermatitis?

I have perioral dermatitis that is not responding to Doxycycline like I have hoped. I want to try a treatment, hoping to eradicate it all together. I have tried lyra laser and PDT with no results. I quit Retin-A bc it made it worse. I just did a 70% glycolic that dried skin slightly, but still have the bumps. My next step is to either do a 15% TCA or Levulan w/PDT? I also thought about doing the venus laser, but last time I did that I had hyperpigmentation. What is the best treatment? Thank you

Perioral dermatitis

Typically the most effective approach for perioral dermatitis is to remove offending factors including certain toothpastes and topical steroids. The treatment I find most effective is tetracycline 250 mg three times a day plus topicals such as metrogel or clindamycin. I do not recommend any laser for this condition. Levulan with PDT might be an interesting off label use and in theory may work but it is not FDA approved for this indication.
