I am a 35 year old 5'7" female, with a BMI of 38.36. I had decompression surgery for Chiari Malformation three years ago. I have managed my symptoms pretty well, however, the excess weight does not help the situation. I have been under the care of a weight loss doctor for a little over 6 months and we've discussed weight loss surgery as an option for my overall health (I am pre-diabetic). I do not a comorbid. Is it possible to be approved for surgery with Chiari and Pre-Diabetes?
