Can "dead" grafts be recognized?

Hello Doctors, sorry for my english- it's not my native language. I had my transplant 10 days ago. All seems to be fine, the scabs are almost off and nothing hurts anymore. So when i examine my new hair, some of it is already growing and some is staying short.I know there will be shedding at some point - but right now i wonder what the reason for those not growing hairs might be.I mean - they are quite a lot, maybe 40% and they stay short. Is that an indicator for dead follicles? Thank you!

Answer: It is normal to lose transplanted hairs days to weeks after surgery. It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out.
