hello, I had FUT for hairline lowering on 29Apr23, it is almost 8 months after and the density is a bit too low. especially in few areas, will this improve? what can be done if not? can small FUE be done ie for 100 grafts without shaving a lot?
Surgeon got around 2980 via FUT. They were hoping for 3200-3300, but they were surprised to see the left hand side had 30% less density when the technicians were processing my strip. They said they wouldve planned differently on the right side to compensate for that falloff in density if they had known. Shouldnt they have known and anticipated this drop off in density if they had looked closely? Or can you be surprised by less density that you can only see when you cut the strip?
Hi! I am a 42 yr old male that has undergone 2 fue surgeries for my crown (roughly 3200 grafts) a botched smp for density, laser removal of smp then reapplication from a great smp artist. I am interested in body hair to scalp surgery and my question is: have you seen good success with bht to scalp transplants?
Had an FUT hair transplant a year ago. Loving the results on the sides but the crown area isn't as dense as I would like. Questions: 1. If I do a 2nd HT would I have to shave the recipient area? Worries about downtime/ cosmetics during healing. Hoping I can not shave recipient area and mask it with other hairs. 2. Can they even do a second FUT? How does that affect the previous scar? Would that thin out the hair in the back too much? 3. Is shock loss still an issue in 2nd HT?
Ive had two hair transplants totaling $22k and 2700 fue grafts to the corners of my hairline. The first one was really bad, and the second one isnt looking much better at 8 months out. The density is really thin and patchy. Im 29 years old and am really upset and confused as to what to do next? Do I get a third transplant? My doctor said I have at least 2500 grafts left.
I had a FUT hair transplant in October 2021 on my temples/hairline (3000 grafts). I was told I had traction alopecia. The surgery went well and I saw progression until March 2022, then it stopped. No progress in length or density, hair barely 1 cm. By August hair looked worse than it did in March, completely thinned out, no growth in length. I am devastated. I told my surgeon who has not been helpful. Just said to try Minoxidil, LLLT or PRP. Its over 1 yr and Im back at square one. Please help!
I had DHI hair transplant 10 months ago (3500 grafts from beard and back/side of the head donor) . I can still see the skin of my vertex area. Although when I touch it, I can feel small tiny hair already popped out of the skin. Will I get anymore significant density in the next months or should I get an additonal HT? Thank you!
