I’m 11 weeks post op and extremely unhappy with my results. The front of my nose is thin but the profile hasn’t change, yet my profile was the part I liked the least about my nose. Is there any hope that my nose will go down further? Or will it remain big? Will I need a revision?
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello,Thank you for your question. The level of swellings depend on the severity of the surgery, the technique used during the surgery and patients healing ability. Swelling is a part of healing and significant part of them resolve in first months and the rest at least after one year following the surgery. You may benefit from certain massage techniques confirmed by your surgeon. It is too early to judge your final results. Share your concerns with your surgeon and follow his/her post op recommendations. To find out more please click on the attached link. Best Regards

Answer: Profile has not changed after rhinoplasty. Is there any hope that my nose will go down further? Hello. Great question. Congratulations on your rhinoplasty. However, you are still early in your recovery process. This procedure involves the manipulation of the nasal bones and nasal cartilage, which then leads to an abundance of swelling. The swelling causes your nose to look abnormal. It also misguides the results of your procedure. It takes a few months to one year for all the swelling to go down. Until then we can examine your final results. Be patient. I will suggest waiting for all the swelling to go down before thinking of doing anything else. Continue to go to your follow up appointments. If concerns persist, contact a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed examination.

Answer: Post Rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. You're still early in the healing process and your nose should continue to go down in swelling. It can take a full year for all the swelling to subside, especially in the tip of the nose. Try and be patient during the remainder of the healing process. If after a year you are still unhappy with the results you can discuss with your surgeon a revision surgery. Best of luck to you!
