I want to get rid of my “muffin top”. I had a consultation with a dr and told him about my hips and the little pouch below my abdomen. He started talking about a tummy tuck. He said if I do lipo It would make my skin loose. Tummy tuck will fix my skin on the abdomen. But I don't think it will get rid of my hips which is want I want. I don't care about my belly other than the little pouch. And he doesn't do lipo and tummy tucks at the same time. Which one should I do?

Your skin quality appears decent, no stretch marks or skin overhand. Looking at photos is not the same as feeling the tissues and assessing the degree of stretch but with that caveat, liposuction would be best.

Answer: Tummy tuck more suitable If you have loose skin, then a tummy tuck would be a better option as it would remove excess fat and tighten the loose skin at the same time. However, if your skin is elastic without stretch marks, then liposuction alone would be sufficient. It is difficult to asses the quality of your skin with photos alone.
