I am 2 weeks post septo-rhinoplasty and I have numbness from the left side of my upper lip all the way up to my left tear trough. I had major bruising post op, especially on the left side. I am afraid it's permanet nerve damage. Can something be done to correct the damage if it is?

Permanent nerve damage after rhinoplasty

The infraorbital nerve that supplies sensation in this area is completely protected during surgery. Not to worry! No long term numbness or sensory deficits will exist, but if any long term unusual sensations occur visit with your surgeon at that time. This is extremely common after major bruising or swelling from surgery.
