Since I was healed from about 3 months post op, I have been getting aches, pains and pulls in my ribs below my breasts. My crease is lower than my breast pre op, so I am wondering if it is the weight and my ribs getting used to the new weight? Is this a normal thing to occur?
Answer: Aches and pains post-surgery Thank you so much for your question!Unfortunately, without any photos, I am unable to comment in detail. However, with regards to only being around 7 months, this sounds normal. It would be good to know how your surgeon placed your implants, over or under the muscle would very much determine the aches and pains you're getting. Typically, under the muscle, the recovery is slightly longer as opposed to the implant being over. This is because implants have been implanted under your chest muscles, which can cause pain, tightness and twinges whilst healing. Any concerns, consult with your surgeon when it comes to the surgery so he can give you a closer physical examination to settle any nerves.Good luck!

Answer: 3 months post op breast augmentation pain in and around ribs Sorry to hear you are having discomfort at this time. Depending on which approach was used for your implants, under or over the muscle may help determine the cause of your discomfort. The pain can be muscular spams which ibuprofen could help. If you do not get relief in the next week or so, you should visit with your plastic surgeon for an evaluation.

Answer: Pain Dear lolah843, it is not normal to feel pain or discomfort 7 months after BA surgery. I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: I have seen this in a few of my BA patients i have had a few patients, who have had a very normal and straightforward recovery and then for no clear reason, many months later, they have pain in their breasts. It has always gone away within a few weeks. it is fine to take things like Motrin. it is presumably due to stretching the muscle or scar tissue. it will probably go a way in a few weeks, but if it doesn't, it is always a good idea to see your PS.david berman md
