KTP vs Nd:YAG Laser for Vein Treatment

Question

I am considering having laser treatment for thread/spider veins on and around my nose. I hear good things about the KTP and Nd:YAG lasers. Is one more effective than the other for facial veins?

More important than choice of these lasers is who is going to perform procedure. Any of the vascular devices including KTP, Pulsed Dye Laser, and Nd:YAG should get good results in experienced hands on vascular lesions in light skinned patients. For darker skin types the Nd:YAG laser is safer.

Either one of these lasers is ideal for telangiectasias around the nares. KTP pulse dye 532 nm or 1064 nm Nd YAG laser. Realize that you may well need more than one treatment for these stubborn veins.
