Jesm,Thanks for the question and clear photos.You have two choices:Leave it alone and just place Bacitracin on it to speed up the dissolving of the absorbable staple orClean a pair of cuticle cutters with alcohol along with the skin.  Cut the visible piece out and then place Bacitracin and it will heal over.Best of luck with your choice.  Either way, it should heal just fine.Dr T

From what I see this well be just fine.  I would revisit on schedule with your surgeon and watch for areas of redness or drainage in the meantime.  Best Wishes!!

Hello and thank you for your question.Your staples should be left alone until you can see a board certified plastic surgeon. If you notice the hole in your suture line growing or notice any signs of irritation, you may want to see your surgeon before your scheduled appointment.
