Can nipple surgery correct protruding nipples?

Yes, this can be performed and I have had occasion to reduce excessive nipple prominence in both men and women. In men, this occasionally requires excision of redundant breast tissue beneath the areola as can be seen in mild cases of gynecomastia.

You can correct over-protruding nipple easily in the office setting under local anesthesia. The amount of reduction is determined by you and your plastic surgeon. This seems to be an issue that concern both man and woman. The recovery time is usually one to two weeks and pain is minimal.

Nipple reduction surgery can decrease the projection of an excessive nipple. It can be done under local anesthesia with minimal discomfort or recovery. It is more commonly done in women but there's no reason a man couldn't have it done.

Enlarged nipples can be treated by a very small procedure to reduct the height of the nipple protrusion. This can be done under local anesthesia.
