Buttimplants, much like breast implants come in a variety of sizes and shapes. There are not as many options in terms ofvarious sizes and shapes but there are plenty for patients to choice from. Theimplants are a solid silicone so that then can take the daily abuse that ourbutt endures. The come in round andshaped implants. There are sizes from assmall as 200cc up to almost 800cc for each implant.Justlike with breast implants it is important to discuss with your plastic surgeonyour wishes and aesthetic goals so that you can achieve the look that youdesire. Your surgeon will help guide youdeciding on a butt implant.
Indeed there are different sizes for buttock implants and like breast implants they are measured in "cubic centimeters" and have different shapes (usually round or some variation of oval). Although custom sizes can be made, they are available in a limited number of sizes compared to breast implants. This is primarily for safety reasons, the the buttock muscle is very large, and strong therefore creating a rather tight pocket so it is not (safely) possible to put an "over-sized" implant within/under it. The implant should fit relatively comfortably in the pocket and not be stuffed in there. When buttock implants are performed by a plastic surgeon extremely experienced at the procedure, great results can and usually are achieved. Best of luck...RAS
Yes. Just like with breast implants, butt implants come in different sizes. They also come in different shapes. An in person evaluation is needed in order to define what size and shape is best for each patient. It is important to understand that not all patients are eligible for large sizes. One of the drawbacks with butt implants is that larger implants usually don't look very natural and they have a much higher rate of complications then breast implants. This means they have a higher explant rate and it is why most surgeons prefer a BBL. If you have been evaluated by a PS and you are not a candidate for a BBL, then I would suggest avoiding larger implants for better and safer results.Best of luck,Dr. Miguel Mota
It is very difficult to determine the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal butt image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your buttock will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. Liposuction of your lower back and fat transfer is also helpful as an adjunct to implants. Using “want to be” photos however are useful if simply provided to the surgeon.
Hello, there are different manufactures of these implants and different shapes ex round vs shaped. In general with what I use is a small, medium or large in general. This is a simple way of looking at it. Each implant has a different width, height, projection and volume of course. The larger implants have larger dimensions. It is important to choose the right implant for your body type and expectations. Thanks.
