Thank you for your question.  Chances are you have injection site swelling or even deeper bruises that are contributing to your swelling. This will resolve.  If you loved the result at the time of injection, then you should continue with your future treatments.

Swelling can last for weeks after sculptra if needles were used. I suggest following up with your physician 2-3 weeks after injection to ensure the results are as planned.  Cannula injections may limit swelling, pain, bruising post procedure in the future. Best, Dr. Emer.

Its impossible to be exact by just looking at a picture. That being said, you may just have "normal swelling" after Sculptra- which can take up to 2 weeks to go completely away. There is another less common condition often called malar lymphatic edema (MLE). It can also look similar to that. I have a few patients with MLE and it can be a "trickier" condition to get to go away. Time and patience are usually important. My advice would be to wait around 4 weeks post injection and go back and see the doctor that injected you. Best of luck.
