I am looking to get Sculptra in temples, but am a bit fearful because when I had it injected in the periaucular area, I had bad bruising and the swelling lasted 5 or so weeks. Is swelling typically less in the temples? Thank you.
Put on 200 mg minocycline daily due to presence of a recurrent swelling and nodularity which appeared 22 months post Sculpra. Nodularity, redness and swelling currently down 90%. I also have a swollen gland in the area and feel malaise which may or may not be related.
I had a bit more than half a Vial of Sculptra injected into both my nasolabial folds and have since experienced swelling, redness and burning pain in the area. My injector is a nurse and not a doctor, so I've been concerned about her management of this. We believe I've had an immune reaction to the product. The injector would like to use Saline solution to dissolve/remove the PLLA. My question is, will saline solution help or could it make matters worse by spreading the PLLA?
Help...major swelling between eyes. Inside corners of eyes & upper sides of bridge of nose sooo swollen after I received Sculptra in forehead & Juvederm under eyes on Tuesday (3days ago). Will this go away?
All these docs say 48 hours after Sculptra, it will go down, but i dont find that to be true. This is my 2nd time doing Scupltra. The first time with2viles, it was swollen for a week, but the swelling went down &it looked so good. There was product that never went away after the 1st week. It's been 3 months & i got 2 more viles along my jaw & cheeks 1 week ago. I wasn't swollen but i was very sore and 3 days later my face is huge and i'm scared i ruined it. It it normal to swell days later?
sculptra 1/6th of a vial was injected on each cheeks. one cheek looks good, meaning no swelling. the other cheek swell immediately after lidocaine. lidocaine effects subsided but swelling is still there all over half of my face 3 days after injection. redness after the injection but subsided as lidocaine wore off. no bruising. could the be permanent and if so what could it be due? if permanent how can it be treated?
I just got Sculptra yesterday. Ive been crying most of the night because it just looks like someone punched me in the face. My right cheek is noticeably bigger at certain angles. I didnt want to make my face fatter, I just wanted to make it look smoother with less prominent nasolabial folds and more volume to my cheek bone area. Will it go back down to its original shape or am I going to look like a hamster for the next 18-24 months??
