I'm 5'2 and 116lbs.. Breastfed 3 kids and now they're just empty and deflated. I have an athletic body type and just want to fill out my sports bras nicely!!! I'm a 34A and would like to be a BIG 34B.. or the smallest C cup. My doctor is suggesting 325cc silicone under the muscle.. Worried this will give me a big C instead! Will it?? What's wierd is my 250 cc rice sizers looked perfect.. But i guess going under the muscle takes away a percentage??? Help :(
Answer: Choosing Implant Volume Hello,Thank you for your question. First, I'd recommend that if you are using rice sizers, be sure to spread the volume out over the entire breast and use a soft, non padded bra. The results can be somewhat different with placement and bra type or air in the bag which counts as volume.Having said that, somewhere around a 270 may look very nice on you but your surgeon will give you implant size choices based not only on the volume but your base width measurement as well, so the 325 may have fit your breast width. Sometimes when you go for a lower volume this puts you into a low plus or Low profile implant which can look pretty flat. Bra manufacturers vary considerably and your eventual cup size may be different depending where you shop but also different depending on the measurement of your ribcage. I recommend sizing in person in your Plastic Surgeon's office and then choose what feels and looks right to you regardless of the number or cup size. All the best!

CONTACT NOW Answer: Is 325 cc too much for B cup? Hell umr. For sizing, only after a thorough physical examination could a recommendation on size be done. I find this method for sizing works the best in my practice:1) Guiding patients to explore reasonable options for breast implant size, usually two to three similar sizes, which allows the patient to visualize how different volumes affect their breast cup. 2) The best guide for a final breast implant size recommendation is derived using measurements from the patient’s own breasts and chest. 3) When measurements are considered then options for sizes can be presented. 4) I use the Mentor Volume Sizing System of breast sizers to demonstrate how these different volumes will look on a patient’s body. 5) This methods offers good reliability and is simple to use, but is not perfect. The ultimate decision can only be made by you and your plastic surgeon. When patients feel unsure about a size, we ask them back to the office to try sizing until they're very confident with the choice they're making. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

Answer: I am a 34A want to be a BIG 34B. Is 325cc silicone (under the muscle) too much?! Thank you for the question. There is no accurate/reliable/predictable correlation between size/profile breast implant utilized and cup size achieved. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, and computer imaging) will be critical. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "B or C cup” or "too much" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers. I hope this (and the attached link, dedicated to breast augmentation surgery concerns) helps. Best wishes.

Answer: A cup to a full B cup small C cup As plastic surgeons we each have developed our preferred technique aimed at creating a satisfying result for our patients. Mine is to get a strong sense of the patient's goals and then during surgery with my patient asleep, insert test implants or sizers to determine not only the approximate size, but the shaping of my patient's breasts. Only then do I make my final implant determination. I can usually estimate with accuracy about 85-90% of the time in advance, but find that spending the extra time to see how my patient's breast actually looks with a real implant in place improves the satisfaction rate. Without seeing you in person it's not easy to determine an appropriate implant size but think that in general a 325 cc implant is larger than the average A cup patient needs to become a full B cup. You may be the exception however. Good luck and enjoy your results.
