Is a Generic Form of Accutane Available?

I do not have insurance, is there a generic form of Accutane that is not priced outrageously? I am a 21-year-old male. I would consider my acne severe.

Yes, several

Unfortunately, non are cheap. I guess you can thank all those frivolous lawsuits driving up the price. The vast majority of patients treated with Accutane and its generic forms did so well with no serious side effects. Generic Accutane

There are several generic brands of Accutane available including Amnesteem, Claravis, Sotret and Isotane. Unfortunately, even the generic brands can be somewhat expensive. For example, in our area, 60 mg daily dose for 1 month would cost approximately $300-$350. Supplies of name-brand Accutane (Roche) may still be available at this time, but I believe Roche stopped marketing it recently (after July 2009). Good luck.
