I'm sort of on the verge of needing a breast lift and wondering if the scars are not worth the trade-off... what kind of incisions or techniques leave the least amount of scarring?

The basic question in breast lift is: How much skin excess is there relative to volume of breast?

The greater the skin excess, the more scar. I personally thing you never need any more than the lollipop scar.

When you add a little volume with an implant, you reduce the amount of scar needed. 

In the vast majority of cases combining mastopexy and augmentation only a crescent or periareolar scar is needed.
