The cost for laser tattoo removal is going to vary from state to state and practitioner to practitioner. In California, there are some practices that sell based on a cost per square inch ($49 per inch is one price we have heard) whereas others sell based on the amount of time associated with the treatment and the laser used. In addition, one of the most important factors is the number of treatments required and this can vary greatly depending on the type of tattoo ink, color of ink, the depth of ink, whether it is homemade of professional, the type of laser and the experience of the practitioner.

What may take 5 treatments at one facility with the right laser and right practitioner may take 15 treatments at another facility. So be careful to take into account the experience and technology associated with your practitioner. Tattoo removal in the Los Angeles generally ranges from about $50 - $750 per treatment for areas up to a full arm or large back tattoo.
