Microdermabrasion is a superficial mechanical form of exfoliation.  This treatment is good and useful for all skin types.  It will smooth out the skin by removing surface debris and dead skin cells.

There are many different types of chemical peels and some are not appropriate for certain conditions or skin types.  There are basically 5 levels of chemical peel from superficial to deep.  The deeper that you go with a peel the more the complication rate and chances of a problem.  If you are serious about a chemical peel go to an experienced dermatologist or plastic surgeon.  Have your skin evaluated.  Determine what specific problem you are trying to correct and then an appropriate level of chemical peel can be selected.
