Foundation rhinoplasty is a new "closed" surgical technique used to straighten deviated noses. Although also useful in cosmetic nasal surgery, it is designed specifically for patients with deviated noses and functional obstruction. Rather than working on the superficial nasal structures, this technique straightens the areas providing support to the visible portions of the nose. This creates external and internal correction that retains the essence of the patient's preoperative appearance.
