Dr. Stephen M. Krant is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder and medical director of SK Clinic in La Jolla, California. With over 45 years in practice, Dr. Krant has performed thousands of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries for patients in the San Diego area and beyond.

Known for having the utmost attention to detail, Dr. Krant specializes in breast enhancement surgeries, tummy tucks, and mommy makeovers, as well as facelifts, eyelid surgery, and rhinoplasty. His practice also offers nonsurgical skin rejuvenation treatments, including Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, skin tightening, laser skin resurfacing, and more.

With every procedure that he performs, Dr. Krant aims to create a natural-looking, youthful result. Many of his patients tell him that his enhancements have touched every aspect of their lives, improving them for the better. He believes that a successful result starts by understanding each patient’s motivations and goals. Dr. Krant earned his medical degree at Yale University’s School of Medicine. He completed two residencies—the first in general surgery at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, and the second in plastic surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Krant is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

With thorough training in reconstructive plastic surgery in addition to cosmetic work, Dr. Krant is able to provide an even deeper level of care for patients touched by birth defects, injury, or cancer. He frequently performs breast reconstruction surgery on breast cancer survivors, in addition to surgical corrections of deformities. When not treating plastic surgery patients in the San Diego area, Dr. Krant is active in the larger medical community through his memberships in the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Throughout his years of practice, Dr. Krant has received many honors, including being voted “Best Plastic Surgeon” in La Jolla for 13 consecutive years by the readers of La Jolla Light.
