I know that they're good for swelling, can speed recovery, provide support, etc etc, but is there any solid proof that they actually improve your final result? I just had work done and I'm dealing with the compression bra and the abdominal binder and even the annoying liposuction chinstrap that slides off my hair every 5 mins. I just want to know if there is actual scientific proof that doing this will make one degree of difference in the end.
I am 4 weeks post op. I wear my post op binder at night, during the day at work I wear some kind of post-partum compression garment or Spanx at the very least. My surgeon hasnt been clear as to wether or not it is supposed to look like this 4 weeks out but has told me to start Endermologie. I know its still early but my question is if this is normal at this particular stage of post op or if this is potentially permanent. If this is normal, at what point does it start to smooth out?
Hi, I have previously had liposuction with BodyTite last week. Whenever I take the binder off, it looks great then when I shower, it seems to revert back to how it was before. Could someone please explain this.
I got lipo done on my chest, back, abdomen, and flanks. I am in week 7 of my recovery period and my happiness levels goes from happy to not so much. I realize that I'm only 7 weeks into this and I'm trying to be patient but it is hard when you look at yourself daily. I was wondering if my flanks are still swollen or if at 7 weeks all the swelling is gone and I'm just healing.I wear compression 23 hours daily with foam ab board and a binder. I want my sides to go down any advice would be great.
I had tummy tuck and lipo of back and flanks almost two weeks ago. I am having a lot of swelling in my hips to my feet. I am wearing a compression garment as well as a binder of it. I still have my drain in and am wearing compression socks. Yesterday my right leg was double the size of my left leg. Today they are the same size. I woke up to both my arms hurting like they fell asleep and after being awake and mobile my right arm still feels weird. Is this normal?
I had liposuction of my trunk about 2 months ago and the left side of my stomach and side is very sensitive and had heard that Ktape or something similar could be helpful and am curious what results have been seen using this instead of constantly being in a compression garment or binder?
I got lipo from my stomach through my belly button and my belly button changed. My stomach isn't as smooth. I have 3 more weeks until my final result, but I need advice what I can do to get the best result for my stomach/ belly button? I wear the abdomen compression binder I was provided 24/7. I don't see improvement. My doctor told me to try to stretch out my belly button open and then put the garment on as tight as i can but my belly button shuts once the abdomen garment is on. What can I do?
I had lipo on my chest, abdomen, flanks, and back three weeks ago. Per surgeon's advice, I've been wearing abdominal binder straps (which cover the area) on an off-on schedule (on ~90 minutes, off ~30 minutes) to create a pump effect and keep the result we had on the operating table and also reduce swelling. I still have one area that's swollen (he says there was more fibrous fat there). In a couple days I'll be on a series of long flights. How do you deal with binders on a plane?
