Lip lift 6/2015, revision 5/2017. I thought it was going to be the bull horn/ subnasal procedure instead the incision was under the nostril area only lifting the middle of the lip. It had a rabbit look but has finally settled down a bot after laser and twice daily massage to break up scar tissue. I hate the independents areas of my lip and the lines that have formed. The sutures and the skin for lack of a better word were bunched together .
I'm thinking about getting a lip lift but am wondering about the pros and cons. If I get one now at 41 will I realistically need another in the future. What happens to the scar tissue as the lip drops again? Does it stretch. Once you've had one lip lift are there added complications for a second? Can I get the same outcome from fillers? I'd like to know about non silicone fillers that last more than a few months.
I'm 9 days out from a corner lip lift and the lower part of my face is extremely swollen. It looks like I have huge jowls and the swollen areas feel hard. Could this be permanent scar tissue formation? I'm scared I'll look like a freak forever. Is there anything I can do to make this go away?
Had a lip lift years ago w Dr.Eppley and was left with a bad scar as well as lower VY with no difference in appearance just scar tissue and nerve damage/ numbness.
Had a 1st rhinoplasty/septoplasty in 2005 and LeFort I osteotomy in 2012. My upper lip became less visible and pronounced/uneven nasolabial folds. Septum weakened, tip of nose began to slide down. In Dec 2010, had septum re-built from rib graft and tip raised. Lots of scar tissue formed; 7 months ago, had another revision---all scar tissue removed. Nose is still bulbous, lots of scar tissue, wide base and philtrum. What would you do knowing my hx and seeing photos?? Thanks!
Had a V-Y lip advancement 8yrs ago. I have a class 2 malocclusion/overbite which made the result exaggerated. My lips are uneven due to a chunk of scar tissue on the right side of my upper lip it's pushing the lip out even further.I've since developed a bad habit of grabbing the chunk of scar tissue/flesh with my teeth.I want it removed! The V-Y has also left my lip with a very flat & unnatural look. I tried the steroid injections, they did not work for me. What are my options?
I had a lip lift done three weeks ago where the incision is under the nose. It is very hard along this incision line, making my upper lip area look bulky and protruding in an unnatural manner. The area is so hard and tight that I cannot smile easily without discomfort, and it looks like more of a grimace. Please let me know if there is any treatment that can help this, it is very distressing.Thanks
