I got Fraxel 1550 done 6 days ago and my skin is breaking out TERRIBLY. The first few days my face was swollen, red, and began to flake. The past two days my skin has began getting more irritated. It looks the worst that it ever has!!! Deep red bumps are covering my jawline and chin. I have only the post treatment kit to treat my face. I am on spirolactone for hormonal acne and my medspa lady did treat my skin pretty aggressively. Is this a normal and should I be (more worried) than I already am?
I had fraxel repair done by one of the country's finest dermatological laser surgeons 3 weeks ago at a medium level and I am worried because I have a clear grid pattern and obvious tiny holes over my whole face. I am itchy and still very red and swollen. I had fraxel dual 3 times 8 years ago and remember similar concerns and the skin eventually smoothed over to a beautiful texture. Will someone please explain how these holes will fill in and smooth over and this grid like pattern fade?
2 days ago I had a fraxel laser resurfacing done to a scar right below my lip and the dermatologist injected the area with lidocaine and ephinepherine. My lip blew up and became very swollen and has not gone down for 48 hours straight. I got a shot of Benadryl and am on steroids but neither are helping so we have ruled out infection or allergic reaction. The doctors say they don't know what to do or how to fix it. Please help!!!
My face is still swollen and where the skin has flaked off the new flesh is very pink. How long does it really take for the swelling to completely subside and the redness to go?
I had my 1st Fraxel restore for acne scars. Nurse gave me oral painkillers and applied numbing cream. During the treatment she went vertically. The 2nd pass she did horizontally, and it was very painful. In total she did 2 passes, saying that she cranked up the setting on my cheecks. I was swollen. The next day I am fine, my skin is slightly tanned and has a rough texture, but I don't look like I had anything done. I am wondering if my treatment was not as effective as it should have been?
