Ive had this discoloration and texture on neck and chest for a few years. At first I thought it was clogged pores, so I did all the cleansing and products. Nothing has helped. Even my dermatologist isnt sure about it.
My skin is textured, bumpy, discoloured, lifeless, losing elasticity, dull and just full of pimples. Not the mention the one pit of pus permanently stuck on my face. I can't go out in public without feeling absolutely hideous. I was on accutane (80mg) and my cystic acne is now gone. This is what remains. I've tried the following; -Microneedling -Microdermabrasion (8 sessions) -Chemical peels -and over the counter exfoliation products I was looking into fraxel or pico way laser, Thoughts?
My esthetician recommended this for my skin texture, which was my main concern. I have had 3 sessions of fraxel laser over the past 3 months and have not noticed any improvements with my pores/acne scars. Is this normal?
I've just had my test patch for Fraxel dual and the clinician used the 1927 setting. I have a few freckles as a result of sun damage and the Dr is very focused on these. My priority is minimising the size of my pores, however, in addition to improving general skin texture and fine lines. Should I request the 1550 setting in order to manage these? Thank you!
I am a 64 yo female who would like to do Fraxel laser treatments for the improvement of skin texture and fine wrinkles. I cannot use the typical topical numbing cream as I do not metabolize any of the caine medications. I don't have a typical IgE mediated allergy, but rather an inability to metabolize the drugs (this is the opinion of an extensive allergy and immunology workup). Can this procedure be tolerated without numbing cream?
So when I was a 2 year old i got burnt by boiling water. My mom did the wrong thing because she should have first put me under cold water but she first took my clothes off so I had to do a surgery . So I had 15% of my skin burnt and i have quite big and noticeable scars on my neck and stomach and not that noticeable scars on both of my thighs and I am wondering if it would help to get rid of the texture of my skin so those places would be smooth and less different in color.
I had fraxel repair done by one of the country's finest dermatological laser surgeons 3 weeks ago at a medium level and I am worried because I have a clear grid pattern and obvious tiny holes over my whole face. I am itchy and still very red and swollen. I had fraxel dual 3 times 8 years ago and remember similar concerns and the skin eventually smoothed over to a beautiful texture. Will someone please explain how these holes will fill in and smooth over and this grid like pattern fade?
Despite going to a top board certified professional, I am 100% certain that the fraxel laser caused this to my skin. These are the micro columns drilled by the laser that did not close up. Doc used high setting/multiple passes. No idea why this happened but I want to fix this. Peels? Microneedling? Or any product? I also have the crepey skin mainly when I smile. BTW , my skin is red due to recent retinol use.
