It's been 9 months since my Fraxel but my skin is still red, dry and continues to deteriorate. The quality of my skin is also deteriorating. It started 3 months after my fraxel, my face became sensitive. New scars/dents on my face would appear without any prior damage and gets itchy even to the most sensitive products. I went back to the doctor who did my laser. She advised me to have gold laser for the redness and also misdiagnosed me of having seborrhea, I had to double check it and had check ups to 2 other dermatologists. Please help me, will my skin ever be normal again? .
I had Fraxel Dual under my eyes done a week ago from a reputable skin centre and I didn't peel. Now the treated area is quite rough/sandpaper-y to touch and looks dry. I have been applying moisturiser and cleansing gently and avoiding sun at all costs. I am very scared after reading reviews of damage and orange peel skin. What is happening? Will this improve? The treated area looks not very good, I have really soft smooth skin and did this for fine lines.
i have pih in the lower lid area. Tried medlite, but the results are not drammatic and my skin is dry and crinkley where i had it. i would like to try fraxel on the lower lid, but i do not tolerate hq and i am afraid of pih if i don't prep the skin. i have been using a skin whitener with mulberry extract, liqorice, niacinamide etc. is it enough to prep the skin? my skin is white with yellow undertones and i did ipl before and never had an issue.
I seem to have developed an allergy to my face wash that I've been using for months. Suddenly after my fraxel dual procedure I cannot use it, I get small red bumps all over my face. This was the only face wash that worked for my acne/dry skin before the procedure which was 4 weeks ago. What should I do? Is this just my skin being extra sensitive after the procedure? How long until it goes back to normal?
My 3rd Fraxel treatment was on 1/6/10. Unfortunately, it left me with very dry skin, and broken capillaries (dark patches) and roughness under my eyes, on the ridge above my cheekbones. I'm now treating the dark, rough skin with NeoCutis Blanche cream (hydroquinone 4%), and moisturizer, plus sunscreen all the time. I want to turn my skin over as quickly as I can. Can I now try microderm and/or a light glycolic peel? I liked the result I got from them before, but now post-Fraxel, my skin seems drier and more fragile. OK or too harsh just yet?
