Tummy Tuck, Lipo, or Mini TT?

I am scheduled for a TT and BL with aug 5/20. I am 5'2", 118 lbs, not overweight but carry a lot of excess weight around my middle since having my 3 kids, ages, 7, 6, 3. I also do not have any stretch marks and I have minimal loose skin--just fat, lol! Now I am REALLY worried about the HUGE scar involved with a TT and not sure if that would be better than my pooch. Has anyone had any experience with lipo plus a mini tummy tuck or just lipo? How can I tell what is best for my body? I have no idea who to trust and I can't believe that I am being so flakey about this. A month ago I was CONVINCED this was what I wanted. Also, will this basically keep me out of a swimsuit all summer? Thanks in advance!

Make sure that you have at least 3 consults....or more.    Discuss your expectations with each doctor.  Wear a bikini bottom to the appointments and show them where you hope to have the scar placement and what you hope the results to look like.

Full or mini, with or without lipo will be completely dependent on the amount of skin and fat you have to remove.  This is a decision for the surgeon.

Keep open communication with each doctor and ask all your questions.  There is no such thing as dumb questions with a surgical consult.  No rush is this decision making.  You need to find the best doctor for you and one that you totally click with and trust.  Do your research and take your time.  And always trust your first reaction and gut feelings.  You will know when you have found the right doctor for you.

From my own personal experience I was also freaked out about the big scar.  I can tell you now that I would rather have the scar than the tummy I did prior to surgery.  Mine is totally concealed in a bikini bottom and I love having the flat and tight tummy.  I would do it all over again in the same manner.

I don't know if it'll keep you out of a swim suit all summer, but probably for the first month anyway (depending on how low your scar is and how comfortable you are showing the world your swelling). This is a huge decision. Don't feel like you're being flaky. You just need to take your time, do your homework and make sure this is right for you.
