What is the best way to ask your surgeon if you can be intimate with your husband again after a FTT? at my last post op (at 3 weeks) he told me I am allowed to resume "normal" activites-no exercise yet. but does that include "sexercise"? LOL sorry for the TMI but I'm too chicken to just call up my PS and ask! My next post op check up is April 18th and hubby doesn't want to wait that long if you know what I mean hehe.

I asked at my 4 week checkup and he said I should wait a bit longer, but to go ahead when I felt ready.

I had originally heard 8 weeks, and really, in a way, I'm not sure I'm ready. We did it once, easy, around 4 or 5 weeks, but it did hurt some. It probably still will, but hubby has been pretty damn good to me for the past 8 weeks, so I'll probably give it a whirl.

What's the best way to ask?? Just ask directly. They've seen and heard everything.

Actually got jiggy with my husband at 3 weeks post op. Not hanging from the rafters sex, but nice and easy.

Nice & easy can be very nice!

I'm pretty sure my Pre-Op paper work says 4 weeks... but, you also have to listen to your body. I would say, if you feel ready then you can always try.... be careful and take it easy, and tell hubby not to disappointed if you have to pull the plug on it if its uncomfortable. As for asking your PS.... I'm sure he hears it all the time.. and its an understandable concern. You could always call and ask to speak with a nurse at the office if that makes you feel more comfortable:)
