Stomach does not feel or look tight post tummy tuck

I had a tummy tuck 2 days ago, and whenever I adjust the garment and see my stomach, the kins appears to be loose, not tight. Is this normal? Its like the skin meets at my belly button and then rolls in on itself. I am freaking out that the doctor forget to perform the tummy tuck.

It's been just over a year and my tummy never got tight and flat....still "flaps over" out towards my hips and I am very saddened and disappointed. The doc said he would try to repair it at no cost, but I still would have paid for the anesthesia and hospital fees and after spending $13k already my husband and I could not justify the additional expense. I don't think I had unrealistic expectations going into it, and not sure if anyone out there had similar results. All the pics and stories I see online the woman has a nice, flat tummy....

Too soon to make any decisions on this. You are only two days post op and will have fluid build up and swelling. Give it some time and please don't panic.

Hello I'll be 3 weeks post op and the same exact thing I's happening to me. They tried extracting but nothing came out. They also told me the lipo thing which they can do in the office as well. That's pretty scary considering the recovery of this to have more done seems tough and to have to re-recover if that makes sense.

Let me know how it's going:) at least I'm not the only one but I know it's soooo much better then what it was but that swollen part under

I am now over 4 weeks post-op and feeling great! However, my lower abdomen still buldges. So when I wear a tight fitting dress, you can see my bump. My doc says not to form an opinion, I am still swollen. And he assures me that he wants the same results as me, and that in the end we will both be happy. He mentioned possibly performing lipo in that area...I don't know, I just went through so much, I can't image more surgery. Although it would be right at his office, so we'll see. Other than that, I am totally happy with the results (lipo to the flanks, back and breast aug as well) Its just that lower tummy that I am not happy with. Although way smaller and flatter than it ever was before.

Thank you so much for your response. I saw the doc today, 6 days post-op, and expressed my concerns since I still definitely have a bulge. He said not to worry, I am still swollen, but it was not as flat as he normally sees. He thought maybe there was a pocket of fluid build up, but he wasn't able to extract any...so that wasn't the case. He said keep the drains in another week and see what happens. He said not to form an opinion yet, but its hard not to! I will check out that area for more support. Thank you again~

You're going to have a LOT of swelling still, at this stage of your recovery. If you went to a board certified plastic surgeon for your procedure, this should be just a normal part of healing. You should contact your plastic surgeon to confirm that a tummy tuck was, indeed, done. And ask him or her about your concerns. You might also want to consider posting a review in our Tummy Tuck community. A lot of folks find good support over there.
