Hey everyone. The doctor I went to 2 weeks injected Radiesse on my jaw/masseter muscle, however she did 3 injections on the left side and only 1 on the right (mind you, I have had no big asymmetry on my face - I don't understand if she was just lazy or what the hell went through her head!). The moment I saw myself in the mirror at her office I was terrified, I looked like a monster with a ball of filler on my left side (almost near my ear!) and another bigger ball of filler on my right side (way lower almost near the chin). I told her right away this was not ok, she massaged it (like a feather lol) and told me to massage it at home. My massage did nothing and I cannot tell you how exhausting these past 2 weeks have been, I can't sleep, I google how to fix this at least 20 times a day, I called clinics telling them about what happened to me and if they can help me. I did contact the original doctor again, told her about the good things people say about sodium thiosulfate but she dismissed it, all she tells me is "Just wait, maybe you'll end up liking it :)". I know Radiesse is easier to "get rid of" before the collagen starts forming so 3-4 weeks after it was injected. I found a clinic with a very high reputation and their evaluation appointments are free so I decided to go. The doctor told me sodium thiosulfate does dissolve Radiesse and they can do it at that clinic. I got it done last friday - I still am very swollen, some spots are still quite painful to the touch and I can still see and feel the Radiesse (even though she said this process can take up 1 to 2 weeks), I will probably need some more sodium thiosulfate when I go there on the 30th (2 weeks after the sodium thiosulfate injections).
My question is have you got sodium thiosulfate to dissolve your Radiesse? Did it work? Did it take 1-2 weeks to work? What side effects did you experience?
