Smooth Tuck

Hi, I am 46 years old, mother of three, I weight 92 kg and I've been this weight for years now. I do exercise regularly and am very healthy. I do have this flap on my stomach that bothers me so much, I am embarrassed to walk naked in front of my husband, always trying to cover my tummy. I've been told that I should loose weight before going for a tummy tuck, and I saw this Dr. in the show "The Doctors" that performs a new procedure called smooth tuck. I would like to know if any one went through this, or any experiences similar to my case. thank you!!! R.

Formerly fluffy1 I am already making life changes. I am 32 yo. and posted my story last night after my pre-op appointment. It is becoming realer by the day. I decided to go with Dr. Schulman since he was very confident my body shape would benefit from his procedure. I hope he's right as I've had to do an immense amount of preparation and planning, especially as a mother of a 3 year old. I have confidence in his abilities and know I've chosen an experienced, and prestigious doctor. ANGMR you haven't posted any pictures, which would really be awesome, since it is actually hard to see what s,ooh tuck results are compared to tummy tucks. Although the doctor has pictures, they usually show the best results, not the norm. I am excited to hear that you still are satisfied with your decision. Satisfaction is encouragement at this end. Thanks for sharing:)

Just remember, you are so much younger and will (probably) heal a lot better than I. Although I’m in my late 60s, I feel great. My stomach is very tight and ‘smooth.’ I went from a size (almost) 14 to a 10 and I’m still losing inches. My size 10 pants had to be altered. I do watch what I eat but the inches are coming off while I am still very firm and I am almost a size 8. Dr. Schulman is THE Doctor.

As far as his before and after pictures, he publishes only if the patients want him to. Not everyone wants their ‘body parts’ to be shown, even though he hides the face. What you see IS how people heal.

Keep us posted, and good luck. Believe me Smooth Tuck is great. The recovery is very short but since I had 2 other things done, it took a little longer. However, I was walking around, in NYC, in 3 weeks. Without the other surgeries, I would have been up and around earlier.

I don't know how to submit a picture, but I will try again.

I'm hoping:). I decided to do this surgery now...since I'm young and healthy, before anything surfaces later in life. I'm hoping I do really well, so I can work on my thighs after. After years of struggling and overcoming the fear of surgery, I'm on my way:). Dr. Schulman better be THE Dr., his cost is significantly higher than most, yet his track record puts me slightly at ease. One place I don't like to take shortcuts is with my health and safety. Tomorrow is pre-op testing, and it's becoming all too real. My grandmother will be traveling in to visit with me before surgery, and she will be staying until 4 days after. My best friend will be with me until necessary and she's free until late August, so I'm confident that I will FINALLY get the help I need. Although I do have my husband, his hours at work are long, and he's only taking off the actual day of surgery. I will post my before pics, prior to surgery. I'm excited to share my story as others have. This forum has been inspiring and reassuring, not to mention enlightening. Thank you for the feedback, it is appreciated more than you would imagine. There is something comforting in hearing stories of so done who used your doctor, even though people are different.

Mrs. Sanguine,
I wish you all the luck and a very speedy recovery. I send a couple of pictures but they are not up yet. The staff at the Plastic Surgery Center are awesome. They are the sweeties and most professional. It's a happy place, if you can believe it, but it's true. The staff actually likes each other, and they love what they do, making it a more pleasant experience. Wishing you the very best.

Mrs. Sanguine,
How are you? How are you doing after your 'Smooth Tuck?' I've been thinking about you and was wondering if you are happy with the results. Wishing you well and hope to hear from you.

Fluffy1, you won't be Fluffy anymore. You don't say what your age is, but, you are going to love the results. After almost a year, I still cannot believe how great my stomach and belly button are.

Dr. Schulman is wonderful, he is so caring, gentle, but truthful. He makes you feel so comfortable (while naked, lol) that you can tell him anything. His products are great.

Thank you for all the responses. I had a phone consultation with Dr Schulman, ( I live in Canada)he was very nice and I really appreciate the time he took with me.
That been said, it was the first consultation I had. So I am going to have consultations with plastic surgeons in my area, and see what they have to say.

Thank you again, and I will post my decision when I make one.

I had the Smooth Tuck and let me tell you it was the best thing I did. Dr. Schulman is the best, just look at his record on Vitals.com. The Plastic Surgeons that do not 'like' this are very close minded and have little more to offer a woman. My stomach is so tight and my belly button is like before, nice, inny and flat, and of course no scar. By the way, I'm in my 60s. My scar is very low, I mean right at the pelvic. Pain from the scar, I did not have any, except the skin gets very sensitive but that goes away. NO lumps, just tight and SMOOTH. Love it.

The only thing, I had to get all new tops and blouses since everything was huge on me. I'm still shopping.

Hope this helps.
