Scar Treatment--micropore tape?

My PS said that I am fine just using the micropore tape on my incision. I've had it on since sx and had it changed every appointment. This appointment today at 5 weeks post op, she said that I'm doing well with the tape and to keep using it, changing it every week if I want to. No other scar treatment necessary for me yet, just keep the tape on until my next appointment in 5 weeks. I was prepared to buy silicone strips, oil and creams. Is anyone else just wearing micropore tape and doing nothing else?
